Jerry R. Sayre is a highly competent family historian with over 35 years of experience in genealogical research, specializing in military ancestors and the documentation required for lineage society memberships.

His own hereditary society memberships include:

• Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) – joined in 1993, documented 19 Patriots
• Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW) – joined in 1996, Life Member, documented 8 Union veterans. Jerry also served two terms as SUVCW Commander for the states of California, Nevada and Hawaii.
• Order of Founders and Patriots (OF&PA) – joined in 1996, Life Member
• General Society of the War of 1812 – joined in 1997, documented 5 War of 1812 veterans
• Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States (MOLLUS) – joined in 2004
• Kentucky Colonel since 2010

For his wife, Jerry has found and proven 31 Patriots for the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), 6 War of 1812 veterans, 7 Union Civil War veterans, and 1 Confederate veteran.

Jerry has also done research for dozens of other members of heritage societies, family, and friends.

He has been a contributing member of Find-A-Grave for 16 years and has full-access to the resources of Ancestry.com, FamilySearch.org, and other important databases.
